Scrunch AI and Otterly.AI: pricing in 2026 and the alternatives worth a look

Two trackers, two pricing pages read on the same day, and the alternatives — Peec AI, Profound, CitePatch, SE Ranking and Semrush — placed by what each one actually does.

Scrunch AI and Otterly.AI: pricing in 2026 and the alternatives worth a look

A pricing page is a photograph, not a fact. In this category two of the most-searched trackers have changed hands or changed structure inside a year, and most of the “pricing 2026” posts you will find were written by other vendors listing themselves as the alternative. This guide reads both pricing pages on the same day — 15 September 2026, stamped inside every figure — says what each tool does and does not do, and places five alternatives by what they actually do. CitePatch is one of them, and its losing rows are written out, not hidden.

Why prices in this category are hard to pin down

Scrunch AI was acquired by Sitecore on 3 June 2026, reported at roughly $225M. If you are evaluating Scrunch, confirm its product roadmap and pricing continuity under Sitecore before committing — its pricing page looked structurally unchanged on 15 September 2026, but a change of owner is exactly the kind of event that reprices a product later. Scrunch also moved from scrunchai.com to scrunch.com; some help-center links still use the old domain.

Otterly.AI is not Otter.ai. Otter.ai transcribes meetings. Otterly.AI tracks AI search visibility. Alternatives directories mix them up, so a search for Otterly’s pricing can land you on a product that has nothing to do with it. We will say that once and move on.

Both vendors price on inputs, not outcomes. Prompts, seats, audits, engines as add-ons. That is normal for the category, but it means the headline monthly figure rarely matches what a team ends up paying once it adds a second engine or a third seat. Every table below lists what the page says the tier includes, so you can see where the add-ons start.

Source: scrunch.com/pricing, 15 Sep 2026. Starter carries a 7-day free trial with no credit card. Annual billing is a 17% discount, framed as two months free. Extra seats cost $25 a month each, with Starter capped at five extra seats. A separate “Agency Core” plan is quoted by third-party sources but did not appear on the pricing page we read; it is not published there as of 15 September 2026, so we do not list a price for it.

Third-party reviewers note that DeepSeek, Grok and Meta AI are not tracked on any Otterly plan, and Claude only through the paid add-on.

What each one does — and does not do

Scrunch AI tracks citations across the major assistants — its site names ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Copilot with an “e.g.”, so the list may not be exhaustive — and adds site audits: a real-time bot feed, crawl health and error detection for robots.txt problems, 4xx and 5xx errors and JavaScript rendering that hides content from AI crawlers. It benchmarks competitors by persona, geography and industry, states SOC 2 Type II compliance and offers a Data API at the Enterprise tier. Its own language for what happens next is “optimisation guidance” and “actionable recommendations”. It does not apply changes to your pages. What it does ship is an Agent Experience Platform: a parallel, lightweight, agent-translated version of your site served alongside the original. That is a different structure from editing the real page — useful, but not the same thing as a change your visitors and the crawlers both see.

Otterly.AI tracks seven platforms counting add-ons: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity and Claude via API. Its GEO URL audits check crawlability and score a page’s citation potential before you publish, with content briefs to remediate problem pages. Standard and above add an API and MCP access. Prompt research, competitive benchmarking and sentiment tracking are general capabilities across the product. Its own language is “actionable GEO recommendations on-page” — reports and recommendations that your team implements. It does not modify websites.

Spectrum from Reports, to Recommends, to Generates, to Reviewed change verified. Otterly.AI, Scrunch AI and Peec AI reach Recommends; Profound reaches Generates, stated as: says it rewrites pages and stages them in your CMS; CitePatch reaches Reviewed change verified, stated as: patch reviewed by a person, re-observed by the Monitor. Positions taken from each vendor’s public pages on 15 September 2026.
Where each tool stops, by its own description. Only CitePatch describes explicit human approval before publishing; Profound’s site claims it can rewrite and republish pages via CMS staging; the other three report and recommend.

The alternatives worth a look

Peec AI — a tracker. Names nine engines: ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Google AI Mode, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, DeepSeek, Llama and Grok; regional coverage across “80+ countries”; unlimited seats on self-serve tiers. Published prices, from Peec’s own comparison page: Starter €89 a month with three engines and 50 daily prompts, Pro €199, Enterprise from €499 (peec.ai/comparison/peec-vs-profound, 15 Sep 2026). Reports and recommends; nothing on its pages describes applying a change. The head-to-head with Profound goes deeper.

Profound — a tracker with an ambition past tracking. Its homepage names eight platforms and claims it can rewrite pages and stage them in your CMS. Its pricing page publishes only a free Trial and an Enterprise tier with custom pricing as of 15 September 2026; the $99 and $399 monthly tiers that third-party blogs still quote are not on it, so we cannot confirm them (tryprofound.com/pricing, 15 Sep 2026). Enterprise lists SOC 2, SSO/SAML and an API.

CitePatch — the row after tracking. Measures seven engines separately, keeps every answer word for word with its date, names the page behind every citation, and turns a gap you own into the smallest edit that closes it — reviewed by a person, prepared as a pull request or a CMS draft, and kept in the Monitor’s own dated record, re-observed on its normal cadence. Published prices: Starter €79 a month with six engines and a 7-day free trial without a card, Growth €249 with all seven engines including Claude, Scale from €599 (citepatch.com/pricing, 15 Sep 2026). Where it loses against the two tools above is written out in the next section.

SE Ranking — an SEO suite with an AI module. An established SEO suite with an AI-visibility panel bolted on: mentions, sentiment and competitors, mapped to suggested fixes. It recommends technical and content fixes; executing them stays your team’s job. Worth a look if you already pay for rank tracking and want AI visibility in the same seat rather than a second tool.

Semrush — the other SEO suite with an AI module, now under Adobe. Adobe completed its acquisition of Semrush on 28 April 2026, for approximately $1.9B, and its AI-visibility toolkit now sits under Adobe. Same category as SE Ranking: recommends, does not execute. The same ownership caveat that applies to Scrunch applies here — confirm the roadmap before an annual commitment.

Where CitePatch loses

Real rows, not footnotes:

  • Otterly is cheaper at entry. $29 a month for Lite against CitePatch’s €79 Starter. If you need a weekly look at 15 prompts on four engines and nothing more, Otterly costs less.
  • Otterly audits pages before you publish. Its GEO URL audits score a page’s citation potential and crawlability before it goes live. CitePatch measures answers after the fact and drafts a change to an existing page; it does not publish an equivalent pre-publication score.
  • Scrunch has SOC 2 Type II, explicitly. CitePatch does not publish any certification. Its security page describes EU hosting, encryption in transit and at rest, scoped access enforced on every request, an audit log and self-service export and deletion. If your procurement starts with a SOC 2 report, CitePatch is not the answer today.
  • Scrunch ships an agent-facing version of your site. The Agent Experience Platform is a product CitePatch does not have.
  • Fewer engines than Peec, and no DeepSeek, Grok or Llama. Seven against Peec’s nine.
  • Younger, with less third-party track record than any of the four trackers above.

How CitePatch closes the loop

CitePatch watches how AI assistants answer your approved questions across the 7 engines, and keeps every original answer and every cited page open to inspection. The 7 engines your buyers use do not answer alike, and CitePatch never averages them into one: each is measured separately, and how every answer was captured is recorded beside it. An AI answer is built out of pages, so CitePatch names the domain and the page behind every citation, yours or someone else’s, and ranks competitors from the same answers, never a separate guess.

When a gap is yours to close, CitePatch drafts the smallest edit that closes it — precise, shown as a plain before and after, with no sweeping rewrites and no made-up claims — and prepares it where the page lives: a pull or merge request on GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket, or a draft in WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, Wix or Contentful. Nothing moves forward without a human yes, and nothing is ever published automatically; a person takes the last click. Then the Monitor keeps re-observing how the assistants answer those questions, before your update and after, on its normal cadence — so you can read what changed, not assume it.

Comparison table, by hand from a tracker’s dashboard versus with CitePatch: one score across engines versus each of the 7 engines measured on its own; a screenshot when someone remembers versus original answers kept word for word with their date; “we got cited” versus the domain and page behind every citation; competitors recalled from memory versus competitors ranked from the same answers; someone rewrites the page versus the smallest edit shown before and after; “it seems to have worked” versus the Monitor's own dated before/after for the same questions
Same gap, two ways of working it. Nothing moves forward without a human yes.

Next step

Open scrunch.com/pricing and otterly.ai/pricing yourself and write today’s date next to the numbers — they will not match this page forever. Then run the free audit on your own domain: which engines already cite you, and which pages they cite, is the input every one of these tools needs, and the only one that costs nothing to get.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Scrunch AI cost?
As published on scrunch.com/pricing on 15 September 2026: Starter at $250 a month billed annually or $300 month-to-month, Growth at $417 a month billed annually or $500 month-to-month, and Enterprise at custom pricing. Starter includes a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and extra seats cost $25 a month each. Scrunch was acquired by Sitecore on 3 June 2026, so confirm pricing continuity before you commit.
How much does Otterly.AI cost?
As published on otterly.ai/pricing on 15 September 2026: Lite at $29 a month, Standard at $189, Premium at $489 and Enterprise from $1,000 a month, with 15% off on annual billing and a free trial. The base plans track four engines; Claude, Google AI Mode and Gemini are paid add-ons priced per engine and per tier.
Is Otterly.AI the same as Otter.ai?
No. Otter.ai is a meeting-transcription app. Otterly.AI is an AI search visibility tracker. Some alternatives directories mix the two up, which is one reason a pricing search for Otterly returns the wrong product.
Does either tool make the change on my website?
No. Scrunch describes optimisation guidance and audits, plus an Agent Experience Platform that serves a parallel, agent-friendly version of your site alongside the original — it does not edit the real page. Otterly describes GEO recommendations and content briefs that your team implements. If you need a reviewed change on the page itself and a dated before/after for the same prompts, that is a different category; CitePatch sits there, with the limits listed in this guide.
